An Ode to Craze – re-evaluation of common management cliches

Mind box

The box is there

We go nowhere

We just can’t get it right

.

We crave the new

We use the old

And do as we were told

.

We let the bricks

That stacked inside

Define and frame the fold

.

They squeeze your mind

As they decide

The boundaries of mold

They crush your sense

In their perverse

Coercion of the square

.

They take the wealth

Of human thought

And rape it

Ordinaire

.

Where human talent should run free

Inspiring, Unchained

They pack your gift into the box

of Corporate Cliches

.

Let our genius go wild

Let our craze reign high

And Lo Behold in blink of eye

You get your ROI

  1. Very good…and relevant to the ROI plans ! Something about “boxes”..we live in boxes. We die and get buried in boxes. Our ideas are put in boxes. Maybe we need more foxes and less boxes ?

  2. Actually, I think we need to get RID of the boxes altogether. The thing is that the corporate world is one big lie of hollow buzzwords: they force robotic behavior on their employees and then, in the same breathe, ask for an ‘out-of-box’ thinking. Yeah, right! 😦
